The Princess of Wales’ powerful appearances at several high-profile public events have become the focus of a new viral video as fans have taken to social media to voice support for the royal following her recently announced cancer diagnosis.

On March 22, Kate announced to the world via video message that following surgery in January she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing a course of “preventative chemotherapy.”

The princess has been out of the public eye since the beginning of the year, prompting a spike in social media gossip, speculation and conspiracy theories before the cancer announcement was made.

In response to the news, celebrities, members of the royal family, world leaders and fans sent Kate messages of support, with many social media users reflecting on the royal’s past public appearances.

Uploaded to TikTok by user, princessmiddleton_, on April 1, footage from some of Kate’s most important engagements from the past two years has been highlighted, including the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in 2022 and coronation of King Charles III in 2023.

Viewed over 300,000 times on the platform so far, the clips include Kate’s solemn curtsy at the late queen’s funeral, wearing an all-black mourning outfit and a veiled black hat. Also included is footage from the princess’ 2022 tour of the Caribbean with Prince William celebrating Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.

The tour saw the couple attend events in Belize, Jamaica and the Bahamas, and though well-wishers turned out at each stop, it was heavily criticized by the media and protestors.

Kate has become one of Britain’s most celebrated style icons in the years since her marriage to William in 2011. Many of the clips in the new viral video highlight the royal’s striking outfit choices including her white silk gown designed by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen worn with blue and scarlet silk robes for Charles’ coronation.

The video has received in excess of 32,000 likes and numerous comments, many of which have praised Kate and her presence at royal events.

“She’s at her most powerful with all eyes on her,” wrote one TikTok user. “Unafraid, unrivaled. May she make a swift recovery.”

“Beautiful, elegant, friendly, happy, close to people! The best for the English Crown!” posted another, with a further comment reading: “Class act future Queen. Breathtaking HRH Catherine Princess of Wales.”

Kate is expected to continue her absence from high-profile events while undergoing her chemotherapy treatment.

In her announcement, the princess thanked well-wishers for their support and spoke of the need for privacy and space to continue her recovery.

“We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment,” she said.

“My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery.”
